Offsite at Longleat Centre Parcs
The Brief
A client was looking for a fun and alternative venue to host a 2 day workshop for their employees at the end of September 2015. We looked at a number of venues for them including castles, treehouses and even a private island – which turned out to be a bit too alternative for them!
The Venue
Set within a wonderful 400-acre forest complete with a subtropical water park, a lake and a beach to name just a few things, Center Parcs Longleat Forest is a rather idyllic setting for both work and play. We were extremely lucky with the weather and spent the 2 days bathed in sunlight, which really emphasised the beautiful surroundings.
The Agenda
Guests arrived in the morning of Day 1 after a train ride from central London and after a quick coffee and a pastry (or two), went straight into the start of their workshops – they were a hardworking bunch with a mission to complete! Bikes were collected during one of the breaks which meant that we could all whizz around Longleat and definitely helped with covering the large distances.
When the workshop was over for the day, guests went with their bikes down to the lake and beach area to participate in the early evening activity – the Aerial Adventure! As guests enthusiastically donned all the gear and got hooked up to the trees, Uptown took plenty of pictures of them all climbing and swinging through the treetops, ending with a long zip wire over the lake. Activity complete and with a great energy amongst the group, everyone made their way to their Woodland Lodges (a fantastic and very comfortable home away from home) to change into evening wear for a well-deserved dinner – which I believe carried on till the early hours of the morning!
Day 2 consisted of more workshops and presentations before everyone started the evening journey home to London. The feedback from the group was very positive and we are now working on the summer away day, as well as a product launch! All in all, a very successful away trip and a very satisfied client!
