Lisbon Wedding

The Brief
To help make a bride’s dream Lisbon dream wedding come to life. Creating a three-day schedule filled with special moments for the bride, groom and their families to remember forever.

The Venue: Patio De Gale, Lisbon

Planning this wedding was eye opening, creative and fun. The bride had a very classy, minimalistic vibe that she wanted to carry out through all events for her wedding party to be wowed at.

From finding and choosing three different venues, CAD plans, visuals, logo designing, abroad site visits, language barriers, picking furniture, table plans and the rest!

The bride’s vision for the main wedding party was for everything to be extremely light and airy, minimal, white with lots of neutrals. We achieved this by keeping everything within in a minimalistic colour scheme and found a venue that had large glass windows for the roof. This allowed for lots of natural day light and gorgeous airy photos for the family to look at back at.

The duration of the wedding consisted of a Welcome Party, followed by the Church ceremony and wedding party. Then the weekend ended with a goodbye brunch. Each event was in different venues suited to the events.

Welcome Party
We started off the weekend in a gorgeous rooftop bar overlooking Lisbon’s beautiful city views. This party consisted of canapes, cocktails and drinks and a DJ playing all evening. This gave guests the chance to start the weekend celebrating in style. We gave out welcome gifts as a thank you from the bride and groom to their guests for being in Lisbon and celebrating the weekend with them.

Church Ceremony and Wedding Party
The following day the ceremony took place in the gorgeous St George’s Church in Lisbon. We held a traditional ceremony with the most beautiful florals to compliment the church’s beauty.

After the church the guests got on some coaches and came into Lisbon’s city centre which was where the wedding party was being held. The venue was called Patio De Gale. This party was a 3 course sit down meal, allowing guests to indulge and relax for the rest of the evening. After dinner, there was an amazing Portuguese band to get the party going, alongside some amazing DJ’s that performed throughout the course of the evening. Party ending at 3am with a lot of happy and drunk guests!

Departure Brunch
The following morning, we held a stunning departure brunch at a venue for Vandelli Botanical Gardens. This venue is situated in a large botanical garden, showing casing Lisbon’s natural beauty. This brunch was for guests to say recover from the night before and say their farewells before leaving. The food was an amazing buffet style breakfast / brunch consisting of lots of pastries, fruits and breakfast style foods.

There was also a DJ playing throughout the brunch, playing low level background music allowing guests to talk and mingle.

Summary
In summary this event was an amazing experience being able to plan a wedding abroad and spend the week in Lisbon. The client was extremely happy with the outcome of all events held and they have amazing photos and memories to look back on! It was an honour being able to take part in this and plan such an amazing weekend.
